How to avoid screaming kids?

Avoid falling into the classic parent traps when you have young children at home. Here are nine tips

Error number 1: You are inconsistent. Children need to know where the cabinet stands. It is your responsibility as a parent to let your child know what is expected of them both in the evening bath, at meal times and if the little one does not behave properly. The more consistent and predictable you are as a parent, the better your child will behave. Here's how: Create rule-bound routines for your child. And try to put rules on what consequences it might have if the child does not want to put on clothes in the morning or do not want to go to bed at night. Always try to follow the rules.

Error number 2: You put too much emphasis on time with the family. It's wonderful when the whole family is together, but it can also be too much of a good thing. And for the small children it is also valuable to be with the parents separately. Alone time with the child can also be great for parents. Then there is no rival to the child's attention. Here's how: Sit down on the floor and play with your child. It may be one of the best ways to be with the little one.

Error number 3: You offer too much help, many parents jump in when their children encounter the smallest of problems or challenges. But think of the signals you send to your child. If you continually help, it will send a signal that the child can not fend for themselves and are incompetent. And what is the child to learn from this? Not to face the difficult task anyway. And it can harm the child's autonomy.
Here's how:
Small children need to learn to fight a little to solve a problem. But it's alright, to encourage and support. Say like "you can easily do this."

Error number 4:
You talk too much. Normally it's fine to talk a lot with your child, but when it comes to getting the child to stop the bad habits, it is sometimes better pay to lean back a little. Imagine that your child will eat a cake just before dinner. You sit down to hug and explain why it is a bad idea. The child disagrees with you, and you continue to explain, and the result will be that the child becomes completely frustrated. At worst it can lead to a talk-persuade-quarrel-scream-pattern. Remember that children are not adults in little bodies. They do not necessarily think logically, like you.
Here's how:
Tell your child when doing something that you do not want. Do not explain. If the child does not obey, give the child a warning or a count of three. If the child still does not obey, give the child a time out or a second consequence. Without explaining why.

Error number 5:
You serve only child-friendly food. Does your child eat only fish fingers and chips? Many parents do not realize until it's too late that if the child receives an unbalanced diet, the child can get very difficult in trying new foods. To do this: Try to encourage your child to try "adult food". Many children want to try to eat the food that mom and dad eat. If your child still doesn't want to taste, continue anyway putting small taste portions on the plate. Many children will need to taste the food several times before they begin to like it. And do not be concerned if your child is fastidiously. Most toddlers are. But do not allow yourself to become the child's personal gourmet cook.

Error number 6:
You remove the cot too early. Cots does more than just protect your child from falling out. It also gives good sleep habits. A small child who prematurely moves from a cot into a normal bed, may end up getting difficult staying in bed and sleep. And thus the child is more likely to end up in mother's and father's bed.
Here's how:
When is it the right time to switch out the cot? It is quite simple: When your child asks for a normal bed, or when your child starts trying to climb out of the cot. Most children are ready when they are two or three years old.

Error number 7:
You start with potty training too soon, many parents try to make the child use the potty then THEY think it is appropriate. But the child will learn it when the time comes. Here's how: Do not speed up the process, but you can prepare it. Show your child the toilet/potty and explain how to use it. If you feel that it's okay, let your child watch while you use the toilet. Ask whether he or she wants to try. And do not be concerned if your child is still wearing diapers as a four-year-old.

Error number 8: You allow too much time watching TV. Research shows that children under the age of two, do not really understand what is happening on a television or computer screen. And the toddlers who spend too much time in front of the screen can have difficulties learning later.
Here's how:
The longer you can postpone the TV watching, the better. Read to your child and try to encourage your child to do other creative things. Talk with your child and remember both listening and speaking.

Error number 9:
You are trying to dampen the screaming and yelling Many parents worry that a screanubg and yelling child sends a signal that they are bad parents. But all young children cry, scream and yell once in a while, and when they do, it is pointless to try to persuade them. Even though the drama might be unfolding in the supermarket. To do this: Remember that your child is more important than others' opinions. Especially people you do not know. If people are involving themselves or come up with unwelcome advice, laugh or say "wow, do you remember back when?" Lift your baby up and find a place where he or she can cry without all the people staring. When your child becomes quiet again, give a hug and continue the program of the day.
