If you're going to Hong Kong to shop for computer equipment, be it a new laptop of Apple products, you should go to one of the below Computer Malls. These malls are pretty huge and during rush hour it can be pretty difficult to get around. Make sure that you get a receipt for everything you buy and also ask if it's a copy or original as many shops carry both!

Golden Computer Arcade

The Golden Computer Arcade/Golden Computer Centre is located opposite Sham Shui Po MRT Station (Exit D2). The complex comprises of three floors. The basement houses mostly accessories and IT books (English books located near the entrance adjacent to McDonalds). The upper-ground floor has games and a few all-purpose computer stores. The first floor, which is accessed via a separate entrance on the side (near the McDonalds), is full of computer stores selling a variety of laptops, PCs, and the latest hardware peripherals. If you know what you want-and how much you should be paying - the Golden Computer Arcade is the place to come.

Wanchai Computer Centre

On the Island side, the best place for IT gear is the Wanchai Computer Centre. As you come out of Wan Chai MTR Station (Exit A4), take the escalator beside McDonalds. There are two floors of computer stores here, and some other computer malls are located nearby.

Star Computer City

Star Computer City is smaller and significantly less crowded than other IT malls in Hong Kong. It's probably the best place to come if you value your personal space. You will find it in Star House, beside the Star Ferry terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui - take the escalators near the Starbucks.

Mongkok Computer Centre

The Mongkok Computer Center is a few floors of practically nothing but shops selling computers, computer peripherals and supplies, digital electronics, and cell phones. Most of the shops are not chain stores but their prices are sometimes better than the chain stores.
