Why should you make a backup?

Many people have forgotten that today most pictures, documents and videos are stored on digital media. These media have a limited lifespan all depending on the media.

When does it happen?

Well, you never know. I've been in the IT area for almost 20 years and I've seen hard drives crash after 10 years and within a week of delivery. You can never be 100% certain about anything when we talk about data safety.

What is OEM?

Most people are confused when buying either software or hardware and it states OEM. I'll try to explain the facts below and also what you may want to think about before buying OEM.

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is the name of the software already installed on your PC when it is supplied by the dealer. It is usually Windows, but may also be other products. Common to these software products is that they do not require any license agreement with Microsoft. The software "lives and dies" with the PC and may not be copied to other PCs.

Apple Services / Hardware Upgrade

There have been several expatriates getting into trouble with Apple Support after they had their iMac's and MacBooks upgraded by a non Apple Service Center.

They will also tell you that the installation has been damaged and/or cannot be upgraded and try to charge you for that. This is in no case legal. All the major computer manufacturers have been forced to either customers to upgrade their computers or install the hardware for free. This is also the case if the customer brings their own hardware. This is why all computer manufacturers now allow upgrades.

The world's best dietary advice is called fitness

Running and other exercises is superior to even the healthiest diet when it comes to keeping your body healthy.

Jerk W. Langer runs a marathon every week. And as a doctor and health expert, he is by nature interested in new research.

Something that particularly interests Langer right now, is the Nutrition Council of Norway. The Council has looked at virtually all comparative studies of diet and exercise. And clearly and unequivocally concludes, that the scientific evidence that exercise makes us healthier is much better than the evidence of the benefits of healthy eating.

This is why you run better when you hear music

It has been scientifically proven that music during the race helps you run faster.

Your iPod helps you while running

Are you one of those who also have a very hard time getting ready for a run if you do not have music in your ears?

If you are, then you can enjoy that music can help in other ways than just the motivation to run. Research shows that if you run to music, it actually has a beneficial effect on one's endurance.

AT Watt Test for Bicycle Riders

A test of your AT Watt can both be carried out on a bike indoors or on your bike on the road. The test should give you answers on how many watts you can perform on average for one hour. With this knowledge you can train very precise intervals in which you must provide a solid watt output in the pedals.

It only makes sense to test if you have a watt meter on your bike so that you can use the test results in your training. If you do not have a watt meter on your bike, you can train using your pulse, which gives you an accurate heart rate zone you should keep when you train interval.

Watt workout I recommend to those who are super serious cyclists or who do not compromise on bike training.

Bicycle training - My experiences

In the past I've been training a lot and done pretty well. I've managed to become a national champion in two different sports at the same time. Besides that I've always managed to do pretty well in most of the competitive sports I set my mind to.

When it comes to bicycle training, I usually disagree with most riders, who usually think that as long as you train 100 - 200 km a day you're going to do pretty well. I've been there too and yes, I managed pretty well. But the big boost came after changing my diet, training and especially stretching routines after talking to a sports physician.

At my peak I developed 4 week programs on my own, which is challenging, but not impossible. I will try and give you an example at the bottom of this article.
